After being in its Beta Stage for about a month, the new Chrome-based Opera is now available to download at Opera.com. Opera 15 will not replace Classic Opera 12 as the Company is still working on its stability patches. Opera 12.15 is still available for those who don’t want move on to Opera 15.
The latest version of Opera based on Chromium 28 comes with a revamped interface and many new features, although it is said to be similar to Google Chrome in many aspects. The most prominent change in Opera 15 was switching of browser from patent Presto rendering engine to Google’s new Blink rendering engine.
New Features of Opera 15
- Speed Dial – this feature allows the Opera users to categorize their entries in different folders for easy access.
- Discover feature – It provides users easy search options based on personal preferences.
- Stash feature – Opera 15 allows you to hoard your search results for future reference and comparison. Users can further create a visual list with screenshots of their most visited web pages. This helps them reaching to the chosen content in a single click.
Opera 15 is available to download for Windows and Mac while Linux version is expected to arrive shortly.
Together with new Chromium based Opera 15, the Company is also introducing release streams Opera Stable, Opera Next and Opera Developer. Opera Stable is the most solid version and is released every couple of weeks; Opera Next is feature-complete version and is updated more frequently as compared to Opera Stable. Opera Developer is the full-fledged version with lots of useful stuff, however there is no official word about Opera Developer release.

While you get familiar to Opera 15 features, Opera 16 is also expected to launch in next few weeks. Company will reportedly launch the new versions fast.
