Looks like Twitter is getting ready to launch its own set of official Tweet buttons! This button will let readers share articles on websites and also display the number of times the article has been shared on Twitter.
Mashable came across some documents which mentioned that they could be launched as soon as this Thursday. There are three versions of the button (110×20, 55×20, 55×63) with five different settings for customization.
Tweetmeme, the company which powers most of the retweet buttons you see on websites and blogs across the web, is most likely to be affected by this move. However it is also likely that the two companies may have arrived at some sort of a deal.
