How to enable and use Voice Search on Bing
Are you looking to experience Bing’s voice search capabilities on your desktop? In that case, all you need to do open your desktop web browser and enter the Bing website URL in your browser’s address bar.
Once you are on the Bing homepage, you will notice a microphone icon in the search bar. All you need to do is click on that microphone icon. As soon as you try to activate Bing Voice Search, you will be asked to grant your web browser permission to access your microphone.
Granting your desktop browser access to your laptop or computer’s microphone is essential. During our initial use, we found the Bing voice search a little slower than Google’s.
Before you begin with Bing Voice Search on desktop, make sure to update your web browser to the latest version. We tried Bing Voice Search on Edge and it worked great.
Hence, even if you have any other modern web browser applications such as Chrome, or Firefox you will still be able to use the voice search option on the Bing desktop website.
In related news, Bing is eventually being rebranded as Microsoft Bing.
