As we had posted earlier that NORAD will be tracking Santa this year with Bing, and not Google. If you are using Windows 8, you could conveniently use the NORAD App to track Santa.
Bing Maps is powering the NORAD Santa Tracker website and the folks at NORAD will join Bing on Wednesday, December 19 for a #BingIt chat from 12:00 – 1:00 pm PT/3:00 pm – 4:00 pm ET. If you have any doubts, queries and comments about the same, they can be asked here. Everything, like what’s the tradition behind the Santa Tracker, how it works, how you can follow St. Nick on Christmas Eve to find out when he’ll be making it to your house – all will be discussed in this #BingIt chat.
“NORAD’s online tools (and related apps) empower visitors from around the world to track Santa’s location at any time during his Christmas journey. This year Microsoft is partnering with NORAD on this exciting effort by providing geospatial imagery through Bing Maps, hosting Santa Tracker on Windows Azure, and making a Windows 8 Santa Tracker app and Windows Phone app available to the public, says the Bing Blog.“
This appears to be the best opportunity to clear any doubts.
For participating in Wednesday’s #BingIt, follow @Bing and @NoradSanta and tweet out your questions and comments with the hashtag #BingIt.
