Microsoft appears to be announcing entry level devices, back to back. After announcing Lumia 435 earlier, Microsoft today announced a new Windows Phone device called Lumia 430. The crown of most affordable phone now goes to Lumia 430 as it has been aggressively priced at just 70$!
Microsoft Lumia 430
Microsoft Lumia 430 is a Dual SIM phone loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 running the latest Denim update. The phone can also be upgraded to Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year.
Lumia 430 Dual SIM comes with pre-loaded goodies like Microsoft Office, Skype and OneDrive. Talking about the specifications, the device is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 4 inch WVGA display with a screen resolution of 800×480. The phone has both rear and front camera – rear camera is 2.0 MP and the front camera is 0.3 MP. The phone has 1 GB RAM, an internal mass memory of 8 GB and an expandable memory of up to 128GB is supported.
Lumia 430 has 1500 mAh battery which provides a talk time of 12.9 hours on 2G network and 8.4 hours on 3G network with a maximum standby time of 19 days. Lumia 430 has an exchangeable shell, the design is borrowed from Lumia 435. The complete specifications of Lumia 430 can be found here.
As of now, the phone comes in 2 colors – orange and black and will be hitting stores in India, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus in April. When Lumia 430 goes for sale it would be available for INR 4500 in India.
