Bing webmaster center and Yahoo Site Explorer community have announced that Microsoft Webmaster Tools will now support Yahoo! Site Explorer Community.
The transition of algorithmic search results for Yahoo! Search result pages, to Bing, is complete for US, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Mexico, and the rest of world markets will be covered by this year end.
Having two webmaster portals for a single source or organic search results does not make sense, as a results of which, Yahoo! Site Explorer will be shut down once all the markets are covered and Microsoft’s Webmaster Tools will be the source for Bing and Yahoo! webmaster site and analytics data.
Since Yahoo!’s results will be powered by Bing, you now need not optimize your website for both. Whatever optimization you carry out for Bing will be reflected in Yahoo! organic search results too.
