We won’t be surprised if Microsoft aims to challenge Google’s Ad business in the near future. Similar to what Edge did to Chrome and Bing is doing to Google, Microsoft is taking on Google’s most profitable Ad business model like never before.
For the past several months, the Redmond-based software giant is aggressively expanding Microsoft Advertising. As a result, Microsoft is working to bring Digital Marketing Center, a Microsoft Garage project.
Microsoft expands Digital Marketing Center
Microsoft’s Digital Marketing Centre is the answer to Google’s vision for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Microsoft is helping SMB owners manage their digital marketing across not just Microsoft Advertising but also social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and advertising platforms including Google Ads.
“We’ve been piloting with a limited number of customers the last few months and have received very encouraging feedback, so we’re now ready to extend the invitation more broadly. If you’re managing the online presence for one business in the U.S., this product is meant for you,” said Bajracharya, Senior Program Manager of Microsoft Advertising.
Microsoft’s Digital Marketing Center has announced new productivity features, as follows:
- Custom action tracking
- Visibility and control on search phrases
- Know top-performing and control automated text ads
Microsoft has added a new feature called customer action tracking to the Digital Marketing Center. It will allow businesses to track whether people complete desired actions on their website. For example, if people purchase a product after clicking on ads.
Microsoft Digital Marketing Center now also enables businesses to manage visibility and control on keywords that people search for. Businesses can surface their ads across the Microsoft Search Network (Bing, AOL, Yahoo) and Google.
Businesses will also able to track ads that perform exceptionally well and control automated text ads.
Digital Marketing Center empowers businesses to manage their online presence and marketing budgets across paid search advertising, paid social advertising, and more.
Microsoft Digital Marketing Center is free to use. Businesses need to pay only for Search and Social ads.
